avocado and pear

ella's such a peach. she just learns so much every day.

today i came home from work and she was clapping her hands.

i was wearing a necklace and she kept reaching for the pendant. every time she went to put it in her mouth i said "no eat, ella" and she looked me in my eyes and earnestly shook her precious head and dropped the necklace.

and then went for it again with a smile.

we went on a surprise mission today in preparation for father's day. and i can hardly contain my excitement.

she says "mamamama" all the time. it's adorable.

ella's been eating more finger foods lately. i cut up a really ripe, gorgeous pear from the whole foods store two nights ago and she just devoured it whole. it was so fun to watch her knaw on this thing with the juices dripping down her chin. she was so excited about it. last night i gave her avocado.

it makes me feel good to see her eating such wholesome foods.

j. and i are trying to make more time for us. it's so difficult with the baby, since someone has to stay home with her at all times and we're really tight for money right now, so things like netflix are out. j's brother came and sat in our house after elenora went to bed last night so we could take a walk together. funny how taking a walk can mean so much to us now.

tennis would be amazing.
