our first visit to the aquarium

friday morning j., momby, ella and i went to the aquarium. we got passes from the library ahead of time, so the cost was really minimal. i'm so glad we took her when we did because she was so good and so interested.

she was fascinated by the fish in the aquariums. she was the perfect height to stand on the window ledge. when a big fish or shark came by (really close) she would say "they won't bite you!"

there was a children's area where the kids could touch starfish. before i even realized it, ella had picked up 2! she was so curious.

there's a whale skeleton hanging up behind their heads.

we found the seals. this one was hanging out right by the glass, so ella got a good look.
