stand up

i walked into elenora's room this morning to get her and there she was, standing up with a binky in her mouth looking at me over the top of her crib railing.

adorable.

i hope she doesn't fall and hurt herself.

today is our 3 year wedding anniversary. we're going out to dinner tonight and then maybe we'll walk by the ocean or something fun like that.

i spent yesterday trying to find presents for j. and for momby, as both of them have birthdays coming up. june is a big hallmark month for us, as i have to buy cards for father's day (one for j. and one for my dad) and then an anniversary card for j. and birthday cards for j. and his mom. crazy. and this year i had a really hard time coming up with (affordable) present ideas. my father's day gift for j. really took the cake, so i'm stuck with semi-boring presents. i wish i could think of the perfect thing.

last night we got our first round of vegetables from the CSA farm. i loved picking them up. i got spinach, chard, collard greens, arugula, radishes, and a huge head of lettuce, as well as other greens that i don't remember the names of. i chopped up a large amount of greens and sauteed them with butter and onion, salt, pepper, and garlic. they were so delicious.

a. says i should add bacon next time. that's a good way to get j. to eat some vegetables.

i signed elenora up for swimming lessons at the Y. we start next week. i'm so excited about that. she loves her tubby and doen't mind when i dump water over her head, so i think she'll take to the pool really well. i found a little green and blue swim suit on sale yesterday and got it for her.

i've been going to the gym again. last night i ran to the gym, did 20 minutes on the elliptical and then ran home. my muscles feel all worked and achy today; which feels great. i don't think i look like i need to lose much weight, but the scale says i need to lose 9 lbs. j. and i have started encouraging each other to get out in the evenings to exercise. we take turns staying with the baby. it's been nice.
